All About the Sports Bar

Greeley Sports BarHave you wondered how the sports bar came about? Palermo’s neighborhood tavern takes the title as America’s Original Sports Bar. Founded in 1933, the tavern took on its “sports bar” personality right after World War II. The tavern opened across from the left field gates of Sportsman’s Park in St. Louis where it was home to the Cardinals and Browns.
